Venetian Plastered Walls

Learn more

Often referred to as polished plaster - is a timeless decorative finish with origins tracing back to ancient Rome and the master artisans of Venice.

Choosing the right product base ensures the integrity of traditional artisan finishes, ensuring the final sheen and durability match both the application space and also preserves the character of traditional artisan plastering.

From the ultra-fine grain of Marmorino Supreme - ideal for achieving a semi-gloss shine to the broader textures of Marmorino Classico, these formulations can be tailored to create refined pitted, travertine or dragged finishes.

Our Products

Marble elegance. Without the weight

Picture a marble-topped table on your terrace or in your conservatory. Now picture trying to get it there. The delivery lorry, the extra pair of hands, the worry about your floor and the realisation that it will never move again.

That’s the problem Venice solved centuries ago. Built on timber piles in a lagoon, the city couldn’t bear the weight of solid marble. So its craftsmen created marmorino: lime plaster and marble dust, hand-finished to look like polished stone. It was lighter, water-resistant, breathable and beautiful, and it has lasted for centuries.

Our studio-designed, lightweight interior furniture finished in authentic Venetian Plaster. Timeless luxury, crafted for modern spaces.

  • Artisan Pedestals: Sculptural display platforms designed to elevate fine art, greenery or designer lighting. Their refined, plaster-burnished finish grounds any space with quiet luxury.

  • Monolithic Side Tables: Functional works of art featuring softly curved profiles and subtle textural variation. Easy to rearrange as entertaining needs evolve, yet visually grounded.

  • Architectural Large Planters: Statement containers engineered for grand indoor trees and botanical arrangements. Enjoy the dramatic presence of heavy stone planters with absolute ease of placement.

Elegant interior of a modern living space featuring a black marble wall, white marble flooring, a large crystal chandelier, a navy blue armchair with beige pillow, and a white side table with decorative items and flowers.

The Serenissima Studio Story

Established in 2015 as Viivi, Serenissima Studio was founded on a simple vision - to bridge traditional Italian plasterwork with contemporary, sculptured design. Inspired by the timeless elegance of classical architecture, we set out to create surfaces and handcrafted pieces that speak through texture, tone and organic form.

What started as an exploration of materials quickly expanded into a complete design studio transforming internal feature walls, external structures and sculptured furniture.
